The Vanguard Information Technology Index Fund (VGT) is a low-cost, passively managed exchange-traded fund (ETF) that tracks the performance of the MSCI US Investable Market Information Technology Index. The fund has a net expense ratio of just 0.10%, making it one of the most affordable ways to invest in the tech sector.

VGT provides exposure to a wide range of technology stocks, including well-known names such as Apple, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Visa, Mastercard, Broadcom, Salesforce, Cisco, Accenture, and Adobe, which comprise its top holdings.

Over the past ten years, VGT has provided a total return of approximately 507%, and an average annual total return of approximately 20% with dividends reinvested. Without dividends reinvested, the total return is approximately 475%, and the average annual total return is approximately 19%.

VGT is a good option for investors who want to invest in the technology sector without having to pick individual stocks. The fund is low-cost, well-diversified, and has a long track record of strong performance. As of the market close on June 2nd, 2023, one share of VGT is $424.10.

If you want a simple way to gain exposure to the technology sector, VGT is your answer. Of course, do your own research and analysis first. Determine if it fits your long-term investment goals. Let me know in the comments what you think of VGT.
