3 Reasons Why the Navy Federal Flagship Rewards Is One of My Favorite Credit Card
Great rewards that I benefit from

The Navy Federal Flagship Rewards Credit Card is probably one of the least known travel credit cards. It is likely because Navy Federal Credit Union membership requires you to be an active, retired, or veteran servicemember, or a family member of a servicemember. Servicemembers include members of the United States Armed Forces and Department of Defense personnel. When it comes to the Navy Federal Flagship Rewards, there are three key reasons why it is one of my favorite credit cards. Those three reasons are as follows:
1. Simple to Understand Rewards
2. Travel Assistance and Collison Damage Waiver
3. Low Annual Fee
1. Simple to Understand Rewards
The Navy Federal Flagship Rewards offers a rate of 3 points per dollar spent on travel and 2 points per dollar on everything else. There is no limit to the number of points that can be earned, and rewards do not expire as long as the account remains open. Each point equals one cent. Year-to-date, I have earned 26,060 points, equaling $260.06 in rewards that can be used towards travel, cash back, annual fee credit, or pay recent purchases with points.
2. Travel Assistance and Collision Damage Waiver
Travel assistance and collision damage waiver are necessary for a travel card, even if you never have to use them. The Navy Federal Flagship Rewards offers travel assistance which includes 24/7 access to their medical, prescription, and lost luggage locator & reimbursement services. Collision damage waiver offers rental car coverage for 15 consecutive days domestically and 31 consecutive days internationally. It is important to note that the collision damage waiver is secondary to your personal automobile insurance, if you have one, when renting a car domestically.
3. Low Annual Fee
The annual fee of the Navy Federal Flagship Rewards is $49. That means my year-to-date points earned are technically worth only $211.06. The rewards earned from the card outweigh the annual fee. Additionally, the benefits of the card outweigh the annual fee.
Other benefits of the Navy Federal Flagship Rewards include a sign-up bonus of 30,000 points and a free year of Amazon Prime, TSA PreCheck or Global Entry application credit, cell phone protection, zero liability policy, and free access to your FICO Score. The Navy Federal Flagship Rewards may not be the best travel credit card available, but it is one that has been very valuable to me. Let me know in the comments what you think of the credit card. Also, I would like to know about some of your favorite credit cards.
