5G is the fifth-generation technology for broadband cellular networks. It was introduced in 2016 and began being deployed by cellular networks and phone makers in 2019. What is the big hype about 5G? The main advantages of 5G include higher download speeds (1 gigabit per second or more), lower latency (1 millisecond or less), and increased capacity for cellular networks. What does that mean?
